You can't make this stuff up

The particular in-comic event this update refers to (My Country Tis of Me 43: Bloodied-up Charges) was inspired mainly by the Ferguson police's mistreatment of Henry Davis.

Unfortunately, unprovoked violence by police against black people continues to be ridiculously prevalent, most recently Terence Crutcher, and previously Dontre Hamilton, Eric Garner, John Crawford III, Michael Brown Jr., Ezell Ford, Dante Parker, Tanisha Anderson, Akai Gurley, Tamir Rice, Rumain Brisbon, Jerame Reid, Tony Robinson, Phillip White, Eric Harris, Walter Scott, Freddie Gray , to name just a few of the many. But, as here, these injustices are being made visible through new media and the internet, so more people can know and protest what is going on, which is good because "unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." ~Dr. Seus, "The Lorax"

ATTENTION: This comic is a work of satire, set in a parallel universe remarkably similar our own. Thus, any resemblance to events, situations, or persons from our world is likely an intentional reference, but unless explicitly stated as otherwise, is meant as a social commentary of the general type of event/situation/person rather than an attempt at an accurate depiction of the specific event/situation/person from our world, and should be taken as such.

Also: I am all for discussion and debate generally, but I mean for this comic to speak for itself. You have the freedom to express your opinions or reactions anywhere else on the internet (including in your own art) should you wish to do so.

Schedule: more to come soon!
